'Behind the Pillars' exhibition opens Jan. 10 at Richardson Library

An exhibition that takes attendees behind the scenes of the making of "The Story of 'The Little School Under the "L" — Under the "L" ' " public art project opens Jan. 10 and runs through March 9 at the Richardson Art Gallery on DePaul's Lincoln Park Campus.

The compelling collaborations of 'Solo(s)'
Among the exhibitions on display at the DePaul Art Museum is "Solo(s): Krista Franklin," including the above work "Out of Love But Maybe There's Still Some Romance" (2019). Franklin's collage works draw on a vast range of materials and references. As a political gesture, the artist appropriates text and images from vintage magazine articles and other printed matter, and her creations offer viewers the opportunity to rewrite experiences, often placing Black women at the center. "Solo(s): Krista Franklin" continues at the Art Museum through Feb. 19.
