City Council proclaims Jan. 25 'DePaul Day' in Chicago

In celebration and honor of DePaul University's 125 years of engaging, diverse learning and service in Chicago, Mayor Lori Lightfoot and the City Council proclaimed that Wednesday, Jan. 25, will be "DePaul Day." The announcement kicks off a week of celebrations on campus and throughout the city.

Center for Journalism Integrity and Excellence to honor Judy Woodruff, alumna Sally Ramirez

Best known for anchoring the "PBS NewsHour," Judy Woodruff will be honored in April by DePaul University's Center for Journalism Integrity and Excellence with its Distinguished Journalist Award. Sally Ramirez, a 1989 DePaul alumna and most recently executive producer of the CNBC show "The News with Shepard Smith," will receive the center's Distinguished Alumni Award.

Blue Demons give No. 8 Xavier a drenching
Blue Demon men's basketball players celebrate their 73-72 win Thursday night over eighth-ranked Xavier by giving head coach Tony Stubblefield an impromptu locker-room shower. This was DePaul's first triumph over a top-10 opponent in three years and the team's first victory over the Musketeers ever inside Wintrust Arena.
