Malkamaki sets a world record at Paralympics nationals

DePaul senior Noelle Malkamaki set a record in the shot put last month in Chula Vista, Calif., winning gold at the national track and field championships and earning herself a spot on Team USA for the 2023 World Para Athletics Championships in Paris.

Students recruit 'The Bachelor' guest speakers with TikTok campaign

This quarter, DePaul students used TikTok to recruit 20 guest speakers for the College of Communication course "Examining Bachelor Nation," which looks at interpersonal communications. Speakers have included cast members, leads, producers and a clinical psychologist.

College of Education student shines in Special Olympics, teaches peers about autism

College of Education student Alex Singh likes pressure. The pressure of his body contacting a trampoline helped calm him down as a child, when he was beginning to understand his autism. That same pressure led him to gymnastics, where the routine and full-body movements gave him an outlet to “use my muscles and do fun tricks.”

Excellent in every way
DePaul celebrated its wealth of Black Excellence at the 2nd annual Black Excellence Awards on Friday, May 12. The Sankofa Black Student Formation organization hosted the event, where students walked the black carpet and celebrated their achievements.
