DePaul junior posts American record distance in the shot put
DePaul Athletics | June 24,2022
DePaul track and field thrower Noelle Malkamaki competed at the U.S. Paralympic National Championship this June in Miramar, Fla., claiming the national title in the shot put. The Blue Demon won the event with a throw of 12.18m, a national record in the shot put F46.

DePaul students shine at the Chicago Area Undergraduate Research Symposium

In the spring, 11 DePaul students participated in the Chicago Area Undergraduate Research Symposium at Robert H. Lurie Medical Research Center. Two students, Elena Sasso and Maria Alexandra Theodorescu, earned second and third place, respectively, for their poster presentations.

Update on the Task Force to Address Vincentians' Relationship with Slavery
Task Force Communications Subcommittee | June 24, 2022
The work of the overall task force has expanded since its inception, and its members unanimously agreed to extend their participation through June 2023. The task force also has established four subcommittees and secured a Vincentian Endowment award to fund student researchers.

DePaul's Egan Office for Urban Education and Community Partnerships teamed this spring with the Lawndale Thousand Man March for a celebration of mothers in Chicago's North Lawndale neighborhood.
