Public art project under Fullerton 'L' stop honors DePaul's 125-year history

​​The grand completion of a multi-year public art project will be celebrated Saturday, Oct. 15, in a dedication of 25 murals that wrap gray pillars supporting the Chicago Transit Authority's Fullerton 'L' station with colorful, 10-foot-tall paintings representing the history of DePaul University.

DePaul alumna named MacArthur 'genius'

​Tomeka Reid, a 2002 graduate of DePaul's School of Music, has been named a member of the 2022 MacArthur Fellows program. Reid is a jazz cellist, composer and improviser who creates a unique jazz sound that draws from a range of musical traditions.

Student film produced at DePaul’s Indie Studio set to premiere at Heartland International Film Festival

In the age of digital cinema, student filmmakers are ready to launch big stories with small budgets. Faculty filmmaker James Choi created the Indie Studio at DePaul with this goal in mind. This month, School of Cinematic Arts alumna Linh Tran will premiere her film "Waiting for the Light to Change" in-person and virtually at the Heartland International Film Festival, through Oct. 16.
