Between the comic artists and cosplayers, DePaul students could be spotted in the crowd at Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo (C2E2). With programming focused on anime, comics, gaming, wrestling and more, the conference gathers fans, creators and exhibitors with a passion for all things pop culture. DePaul students, faculty and staff from the Theatre School,
College of Communication and Esports team were in attendance, each with their own booth on the show floor.
The Theatre School's booth offered cosplay repairs and demos to share students’ costume construction expertise. They also held makeup demos for people interested in special effects or cell shaded makeup.
The College of Communication’s
media and pop culture program had a booth featuring pop culture trivia and MPOP freebies. Students taking the C2E2 DePaul class hosted a panel analyzing different aspects of pop culture.
