12.9 - Register for BlueKey Multi-Factor Authentication

DePaul University Bluesky
Dear DePaul Employee,
Have you registered for BlueKey multi-factor authentication? If not, do so today!
BlueKey multi-factor authentication will be required to access human resources and finance applications in BlueSky when you return to your work at DePaul after Winter Break.
The best way to register is to do so using your computer with your mobile device nearby. For more about BlueKey, visit the Information Services website.
Also, you can prepare now for two important tasks you’ll need to do in the new system in January—reporting time and updating your emergency contact information.
  1. Recording time is a little different is BlueSky. Rather than recording everything in one place, you’ll enter your hours worked for Payroll (if applicable) in the TimeCard function and any absences (e.g., vacation, sick hours, and any other hours you typically report)  in the Time and Absences function. Our new absence management system allows for absence requests to be submitted to your manager for approval and tracking within BlueSky.
  2. The majority of your personal information will have been transferred over from PeopleSoft to BlueSky, but you will need to re-enter your emergency contacts. Please do that ASAP in January. While you’re in there, take some time to review the rest of your information to ensure it is accurate.
Training resources for these tasks and more can be found on the BlueSky website within the “How Do I?” section. You can also review our self-guided presentation for employees and sign up for live virtual training sessions taking place during the first two weeks of January—sign up here.
If you have any questions, please reach out to the BlueSky Team at bluesky@depaul.edu.
Sincerely,
The BlueSky Team
