Licensing Policy

The use of licensed vendors for promotional products is required by DePaul’s Institutional Trademarks & Licensing Policy. Licensed Vendors are those companies who have applied to DePaul University for permission to use our brand. They must follow a standard art approval process, provide proof of liability insurance, disclose manufacturers and adhere to the supply chain regulations outlined by the Workers’ Rights Consortium, of which DePaul is a member.

This process ensures that the DePaul brand is not associated with unfair labor practices. It also is the mechanism by which DePaul upholds its commitment to the United States Patent and Trademark office in exchange for federal trademark protections.

University Branding and Marketing no longer supplies logos for merchandise or promotional items. A formal Licensing department and staff have been established to ensure the University maintains control of its identity, and to facilitate the process of securing authorization for legitimate third party uses. Please contact the Office of Merchandise and Licensing with all trademark and licensing questions and inquiries about existing marks.

To order promotional product and/ or merchandised items, please contact licensing@depaul.edu.
