​​​​Community Partners Internship

The Community Partners Internship, a program within The Egan Office, places Federal work-study eligible DePaul students at partner organizations throughout the Chicago area. The program aims to provide students with first-hand experience and application in the nonprofit sector while strengthening partnerships with community-based organizations that have a consistent record of successfully collaborating with the Egan Office. Internships are yearlong, with positions ranging from Graphic Design, Community organizing, Social Media Coordinators, Administrative Assistants, Marketing Specialists, Research assistants, Adult literacy (ESL), Youth Development, and Tutors, to Public Relations.

General Summary: 

This position is for DePaul undergraduate and graduate students who have exhibited a strong commitment to service and academic excellence and who seek to advance their understanding of community with a Chicago non-profit. 

As part of the paid internship, all interested applicants must commit to an academic year (Fall, Winter, and spring quarters). Interns do not work during the summer quarter and finals weeks. Interns must complete 70% of their internship at the community organization’s site, and about 30% online. The current job postings will be available in June 2024.

These positions are located in different areas of the city: Rogers Park, Hermosa, West Garfield, North Lawndale, Little Village, Pilsen, Englewood, Auburn Gresham, etc.
