Fulbright US Scholar and Fulbright Specialist Awards

Dear Colleagues,

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to teach, conduct research, or participate in a professional project in a different country? Every year, well over a thousand US faculty and professional staff go abroad as recipients of Fulbright US Scholar and Fulbright Specialist Awards. Numerous DePaul faculty and professional staff over the years have received these awards, and we would like to help many more to access these outstanding opportunities.

The Global Engagement's Fulbright Liaison for Faculty and Professional Staff, Scott Bucking, Associate Professor of Ancient Mediterranean Studies in the History Department and Fulbright awardee, is available to you for consultation and support during your application process.

Scott is excited to extend a warm invitation to all of you to join him for an information session and workshop on applying for Fulbright US Scholar and Fulbright Specialist Awards. As a Fulbright alumnus himself, Scott is looking forward to providing faculty and professional staff with information and advice about these Fulbright Award Programs, and the tremendous opportunities for professional and personal development they can offer you. All faculty (tenure-track, tenured, term, adjunct, and emeriti) and professional staff are warmly invited to attend.

We have scheduled the information session for:

Friday, June 7th, 2024, 1:00−3:00 PM (Central Time) via Zoom

Please email your RSVP to Kate Gorveatte at kgorveat@depaul.edu by Wednesday, June 5th.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch directly with Scott:
