Open enrollment for 2024 benefits starts Oct. 23

Dear Benefits-Eligible DePaul Employee:

DePaul cares a great deal about the health and well-being of our faculty and staff, and Human Resources works hard to advocate on behalf of its employees to provide access to high quality and affordable insurance and other benefits. W e also employ a shared approach to medical costs that further alleviates some of the cost burden of benefits on faculty and staff.

Open Enrollment for 2024 benefits begins on Oct. 23, which is right around the corner. DePaul remains committed to providing competitive benefits for our staff and faculty and you’ll be happy to know that there are no significant changes in plan design or coverage for the coming year.

To make sure you make the most of your benefits, we invite you to take the time now to explore the following tools that can help you prepare for your benefits enrollment decisions:

All of these tools are available now to help you plan out your benefits choices, and then during Open Enrollment—Monday, Oct. 23 through Friday, Nov. 3—you will be able to make your benefits elections through BlueSky.

Aside from the annual Open Enrollment period, the only other time you can make changes for the majority of your benefits is if you experience a qualifying life event or family status change

Please note: Elections for Flexible Spending Accounts do not carry over and must be made each year.

If you have questions about benefits at DePaul, you can contact the Benefits Team at hrhelp.depaul.edu or (312) 362-8232.

Be well,

David Avdul
Interim Vice President, Human Resources
