My name is Damien J. Rodriguez, Program Assistant for the Occupational Therapy Program. I've been with DePaul University a little over 5 years but have been working at universities for 20 plus years (Loyola, UChicago, Northwestern and DePaul). My academic interests are rooted in comic books and the role the medium has placed in the development of identity. My interest in Staff Council stems from my own experience as a student and staff member at my previous institutions where I felt the university did not always support the concerns of its communities. My goals as a Staff Council member are to include more staff in decisions regarding the future direction of DePaul University, especially as the pandemic changed our normal.
