Mata Hari in 1917. Many sources show this as the actual execution, but
it could also be a reconstruction for the movie of 1920. According to
author Russell Warren Howe, it is indeed a reconstruction for the movie.

Contemporary satirical and anti-clerical postcard commenting on the
court’s judgment pronounced on Madame Caillaux. At the end of her trial
Madame Caillaux was found innocent. This card satirizes the “sentence”
that she received by being freed.

Satirical and anti-clerical postcard on the imagined last meeting of
Mme. Caillaux with the prison chaplain. Set in front of the Palace of
Justice on the Ile de la Cite, Paris. The moving van is piled high with
her possessions indicating the luxury that surrounded her during her
imprisonment. She is shown wearing one of her signature hats that she
wore on trial. The lecherous chaplain, with the red nose of a drinker,
gropes as he kisses the released prisoner good-bye. 1914, Artist: L.

Open flap of contemporary satirical postcard. Madame Caillaux is
sitting in her cell at Saint-Lazare prison dressed ina ball gown with
jewels and a tiara. The satire imagines her reaction to being served
the ordinary prison fare. It was well-known that she was being held in a
special cell with special privileges and access to her own food.
