Upcoming Deadlines to Support Data Transition from PeopleSoft to BlueSky

User Acceptance Testing (UAT) is the final stage of any software development life cycle. It is a process to confirm that the system meets the defined requirements and that users will be able to execute the required business processes upon go-live. While members of DePaul's core project team have already been testing Blue Sky, the UAT phase adds additional members of the user community to ensure that key users will have experience using the new system prior to go-live.

A group of “heavy users” of the system are participating in UAT activities in September and early October to test the system’s functionality before BlueSky HCM is introduced it to a wider user group.

Note: Testing and training will be conducted separately for the two parts of the system: BlueSky Human Capital Management (HCM) and BlueSky Finance. Once the system goes live, though, Blue Sky will deliver DePaul’s functions for human resources, finance and budgeting applications seamlessly.

After working through changes from the App 2.0 review, Drivestream and the DePaul BlueSky Team conducted a review of the next iteration of the system.

Over the course of several full-day sessions, Drivestream and the DePaul BlueSky Team worked through configurations for the “App 2.0” HCM modules based on project requirements.

The original Jan. 1, 2020, "go-live" date for the new BlueSky project changes given the scope and complexities of converting DePaul's customized PeopleSoft system. Read the update in Newsline.

DePaul officially kicks off the project to convert the current PeopleSoft system to the new Oracle Cloud system.

The team of professionals from Information Services, Finance and Human Resources, along with Drivestream, a certified Oracle implementation partner, begin working on the system conversion.
