Museum Description
The Chicago History Museum stands at the crossroads of America's past and its future. If you live in Chicago or visit here and are curious about the city's past, present and future, the museum should be your first stop.
The Chicago History Museum cares for, showcases and interprets millions of authentic pieces of Chicago and U.S. history. Our ability to illuminate the past is a reminder of what really happened once upon a time, sheds light on the present, and compellingly informs the future.

Abakananowicz Research Center Hours:
Tuesday-Friday, 12 noon - 3pm
Visits to the Research Center are by appointment only. Reservations must be made 48 hours in advance.

Discount Information
- Free entry during regular public hours. In addition, students, faculty, and staff have access to student group tours, curatorial lectures and programs at the Museum at a reduced rate.
Getting the Discount
DePaul students, faculty and staff have the benefit of free General Admission by presenting a current DePaul ID. Only the holder of the DePaul ID has free admission - no guests.
