DePaul's 15 intercollegiate athletic teams compete in the NCAA Division I, BIG EAST Conference.

DePaul University began sponsoring athletics teams in the early 1900's, with intercollegiate athletics coming to fruition in the 1920's. Through a bold new vision for the future—led by new Vice President and Director of Athletics DeWayne Peevy—DePaul Athletics looks to become the premier program in the BIG EAST Conference through a focus on winning championships with integrity, building champion students through education and intentional development, and serving as a visible ambassador for DePaul University and the Chicago community.

DePaul Athletics has a storied tradition and is uniquely positioned to support the university's mission and commitment to academic excellence, real world experience, community engagement, and systemic change. Further, the department is steadfast in its commitment to grow the university's national exposure and enrollment through athletics

Student Discounts

Students receive free admission to all athletic events. 

For Varsity Sports events on the Lincoln Park Campus, including Men's and Women's Soccer, Volleyball and Softball, simply tap or swipe your DePaul Student ID at the designated student entrance for free admission on game day. 

For men's and women's basketball games at Wintrust Arena, a new fully electronic student claim process is in place for ticket and bus reservations for men's and women's basketball games at Wintrust Arena. Guest tickets are also available at a discounted rate.

Faculty/Staff Discounts

Current DePaul University faculty and staff are provided free admission for themselves to all regular-season, home DePaul Athletics men's soccer, women's soccer, volleyball, and softball events by showing their valid DePaul ID at the entrance.

For regular season, home men's and women's basketball games, DePaul University full-time employees, part-time employees, or those employees that have retired and receive full benefits from the university are eligible to receive exclusive discounts, including: 

• Basketball Season Tickets: Receive 20% off the price of up to four (4) season tickets in any general seating area (not applicable in club levels, courtside seating or other premium areas). To request the discount, employees must contact the DePaul Athletics Ticket Office (773.325.7526x1) when purchasing tickets and provide their employee ID number and depaul.edu email address for verification. Additional monies may be due if a ticket holder no longer qualifies for the employee discount at the time of verification, due to a change in employment status. Additional season tickets (beyond the four eligible for discount) may be purchased at the public price, subject to availability. Discounts are not retroactive and cannot be combined with any other discounts or offers.​
