The Office of Research Services is accepting proposals for the fall award cycle of the Academic Growth and Innovation Fund. Proposals are due by 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 10 for projects beginning Feb. 15, 2022. Proposals should be submitted through Blackbaud, DePaul's internal grant system. All full-time faculty and staff are eligible to apply for AGIF funding.
Proposals for the winter award cycle will be accepted from Jan. 15 through 11:59 pm on Feb. 15. Projects for the winter award cycle begin on July 1, 2022.
Established in 2018, the Academic Growth and Innovation Fund seeks to find, encourage and support innovative academic ideas that will have a positive impact on DePaul revenue in the next three years. The fund has a $2 million budget, and is now accepting proposals.
There are three types of funding available from the AGIF:
- Idea/concept generation: the maximum award is $25,000 for up to one year of funding
- Prototype/working model: the maximum award is $100,000 for up to two years of funding
- Institutional adoption/commercialization: the maximum award is $300,000 for up to three years of funding
The requested level of funding should be reasonably commensurate with the proposed activities and with potential outcomes. Because the AGIF program is focused on the goals of the strategic plan 2024, funding priority will be given to projects aligned with one or more of the strategic plan goals.
