Jeff Bethke, DePaul's executive vice president and chief financial officer, announced he will be stepping down, effective Dec. 31, 2020, to found an operational/financial consultancy aimed at higher education clients undertaking transformational change.  Bethke joined DePaul in 2002 and has served as executive vice president since 2015.

“Throughout his 18 years at DePaul, Jeff has made significant contributions to the university," says DePaul President A. Gabriel Esteban. “I have always appreciated his insight and extensive knowledge of DePaul's financial and daily operations. Jo and I wish him well in this next chapter of his life."

DePaul will begin the search for its next executive vice president immediately. Because this is a board appointment, the search committee will be led by a trustee who will work with a broad delegation of university representatives. More information will be shared with the university community when it is available.
