On Thursday, Feb. 11, the DePaul community across the globe came together to raise more than $3.4 million for DePaul students during the Blue Demon Challenge. Thank you to all the alumni, faculty, staff, students, parents and friends who made this year's Blue Demon Challenge the most successful ever.
Here's a sample of what we accomplished:
- We unlocked over 50 challenges and matches for schools, colleges and departments across campus
- DePaul faculty and staff made over 400 gifts to unlock two $75,000 challenges
- DePaul students made over 50 gifts to unlock a $25,000 challenge
- We secured gifts from all 50 states and from 15 countries
- During our three time-based challenges, the DePaul community made an average of three gifts every minute
- We brought Billy Blue Demon out of the vault! Visit the DePaul Spirit Shop to see the initial release of the Classic Collection, a salute to DePaul's nostalgic and iconic Billy Blue Demon logo
Most importantly, your generosity recognized the value of a DePaul education, and provided resources for DePaul students to reach their full potential and fulfill their dreams. While the Blue Demon Challenge may only be 24 hours, the impact you made will be felt for years to come.
