In the 2020 fiscal year, the university had more than 360 funding submissions requesting a total funding of $75.4 million. Of those requests, 125 submissions were funded, totaling $11.7 million in new and continuation grants. This fall, DePaul's Office of Research Services released its fiscal year 2020 Sponsored Research and Creative Studies annual report.

“We are proud of the quality and quantity of research that happens at DePaul every day," says Salma Ghanem, interim provost. “I am constantly amazed by the innovative ways our faculty, students and staff come together to address issues. The members of the Office of Research Services have done a wonderful job supporting academic creativity and teaching on campus."

Over the last seven years, DePaul has received over $82 million in sponsored project funding. The Office of Research Services' mission is to promote and facilitate research, scholarship and creative activities conducted by DePaul faculty, students and staff.
