Education graduate programs rise in rankings, help veterans thrive

The College of Education also shines in the new rankings. The online master’s in education program rose to 147th from 202nd place this year. This ranking highlights universities with a high-quality program that “grants aspiring teachers and educational administrators opportunities to readily interact with their instructors and classmates.” Other dimensions of the ranking include the high regard employers hold for a teacher with a DePaul degree, as well as the program’s technology, flexibility and student excellence.

Within this category, DePaul rose to 13th for its specialty in educational administration and supervision. The online education master’s degree program also rated highly for veterans, placing 37th. U.S. News and World Report writes that veterans and active-duty service members “gain the most from distance education that is affordable, accessible and reputable.” The 2022 Best Online Programs for Veterans rankings measure these factors in consideration of financial benefits available specifically to people with military experience.
