On Thursday, Jan. 30, the DePaul community came together to raise
$5,198,861 from
5,278 donors as part of the annual
Blue Demon Challenge. Thank you to all of the faculty, staff, students, alumni, parents and friends who made this year’s event such a success!
The funds raised will be used for scholarships, academic programs, support services, Athletics and many other worthy causes that will help DePaul students thrive.
Those students include Maya (CDM ‘25) who says, “I come from a low-income community on the west side of Chicago, and the only reason I was able to attend DePaul was my financial aid package. I was all set to attend a local community college, but the admissions office actually reached out to me and provided multiple options for scholarships that apply to my specific needs. Now, thanks to my scholarship, I have been able to walk paths I never thought possible. I will be forever grateful to those who create opportunities for students like me.”
Maya is just one of many students who benefit from the kindness of our donors.
