Blue Demon Challenge, DePaul’s annual day of giving, is on the horizon! This Thursday, Jan. 30, faculty, staff, students, alumni, parents and friends will come together to support the university by giving back.
Why it matters: Blue Demon Challenge is your chance to support the things that make DePaul special. You can choose to
direct your gift toward the area(s) of DePaul that are most important to you, including academic programs, scholarships, athletics, or student groups. By participating, you're doing more than making a gift to a university — you're helping prepare students to change the world.
The day will be filled with
exciting challenges thanks to matching opportunities from generous donors, some of which include:
- Scholarship Challenge: When 500 people make a gift of any size to any scholarship fund, Mike Thompson (BUS '85) will donate $53,000 to support student scholarships.
- Double Demon Challenge: When 200 Double Demons (those with two degrees from DePaul) make a gift of any size, Kris Hansen will donate $50,000 to support students.
- 50 States Challenge: When at least one donor from all 50 states makes a gift of any size, an anonymous donor will give $50,000 to support students.
In the lead-up to the Blue Demon Challenge, you can make a difference in several ways:
- Sign up to become a BDC Ambassador and share your “DePaul story” with others.
- Donate early or plan to make a donation day-of at challenge.depaul.edu.
- Spread the word. Post about the challenge online using #BlueDemonChallenge or ask other members of the DePaul community to participate.
