PS5s and Beyoncé: Everything new at the libraries this year

DePaul’s John T. Richardson Library in Lincoln Park and Loop Library are hubs for teaching and learning. Recent additions like solo booths, updated group spaces and new loanable technology, including Sony PS5, music albums or Nintendo Switch consoles, make the library integral to the student experience. Stop by and meet new Library staff.

Study spaces to meet all your needs 
  • ​Group study rooms and worktables are ideal for collaborative projects. 
  • Quiet zones and silent study provide space to focus
  • Solo Booths are a popular option for individual study, phone calls, online meetings or quiet contemplation. There are now six booths at the Richardson Library and two at the Loop Library.  
  • Meeting and conference rooms are available for campus events, presentations or workshops. 
Book rooms and study spaces using the Room Reservations page. Unreserved study rooms, worktables, booths and media studios are always available on a first- come, first-served basis.  

New tech available 

In partnership with Information Services, the Richardson Library has new and updated gadgets and services. 

  • ​Print color posters up to 48 inches by 36 inches for assignments or presentations. 
  • Work on your next paper at one of the new computers and monitors at every workstation on the second floor.  
  • Borrow from the expanded loanable technology collection​, featuring:

  • ​Andrew Brown, Evening Circulation Supervisor at the Richardson Library 
  • Kaiya Schroeder, Reference and Instruction Librarian at the Loop Library 
  • Emily Swenson provides research support in Special Collections and Archives. 
  • Jackie Mann helps manage library acquisitions and e-resources. 
  • Keith Engwall works with library systems.
