Kimberlie Goldsberry, associate vice president for student affairs, was recently named a Pillar of the Profession by Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA), the largest student affairs professional association.

The NASPA Foundation recognizes a series of individuals each year who have served as leaders, teachers and scholars in student affairs and higher education. Each individual is nominated and supported for designation as a Pillar by colleagues, students, friends or others who find them deserving of this honor.

"Dr. Goldsberry is an outstanding student affairs professional that is respected nationally. We are extremely fortunate to have her here at DePaul," said Vice President for Student Affairs Eugene L. Zdziarski, II, PhD.

In support of her nomination, colleagues said that Goldsberry has been a "tireless collaborator," "an organizational leader and true student affairs professional," and a "dedicated, innovative and strategic" contributor to NASPA and the institutions she has served.

Goldsberry has served on countless Region IV-East conference committees, co-chaired a regional conference in Ohio and served as Region IV-East regional director. She was honored with the Region IV-East Fred Turner Award to Service for her dedication to the region and to NASPA. She has been actively involved with the United Way in multiple communities throughout her career and most recently served on the United Way of Kenosha County's Board of Directors.

Goldsberry joined DePaul last June from Carthage College, where she was vice president for student affairs and dean of students. Before Carthage, she served at Ohio Wesleyan University for seven years and Xavier University for 13 years. She earned her master's degree in college student personnel at Bowling Green State University and her PhD in higher education at Ohio University.
