DePaul's fourth annual Innovation Day, titled "Breaking Barriers Through Creative Collaboration," is planned for Friday, Jan. 27. All faculty and staff are invited to RSVP to connect with one another and get inspired by the innovative and collaborative research and creative activities at DePaul.

This year’s program will feature keynote speakers introducing their creative visions to innovate, collaborate and build community in the art and music industries. Scott Fetters, director at 2112 Creative Industries Incubator; and Anthony Spina, co-founder of System Seltzers, will start the day by discussing their shared history of intentional community building and the creative sector’s role in fostering innovation during their session, "Fostering Innovation Through Creative Collaboration."

During lunch, keynote speaker Martine Kei Green-Rogers, dean of The Theatre School, will address how the arts and the tools and techniques of the arts are transferable skills that may be applied to numerous disciplines. More specifically, she will address how civic imagination and the arts can be employed to forward the vision and mission of DePaul and create a better society.

The event also will feature presentations, panels and talks that address challenges and opportunities arising from pressing societal needs while showcasing integration across different disciplines.
