DePaul Newsline will soon transition from a daily to a weekly newsletter for faculty, staff, and students. Starting next academic year, Newsline will publish every Monday morning, giving faculty, staff, and students a preview of the week ahead at DePaul. In addition to sharing a wider range of university news about academic programs, research and student activities, the new Newsline will include a snapshot of featured events happening on campus that week.

The new weekly format reflects feedback received from the DePaul community over the last several years, such as wanting more advanced notice ahead of university events. It also coincides with the work to develop a new digital presence for DePaul, which will include centralized communication functions that will better connect faculty, staff and students.

The last issue of Newsline Daily will publish on Friday, June 16, and the new weekly format will launch on Monday, August 28. Over the summer months, when readership is traditionally lower, the university will share any time-sensitive news through Newsline special editions or direct emails from university leadership.

Since the 1950s, Newsline has served as the primary source for university news. Over the decades, it has taken many forms in order to adapt to the community’s changing needs and available technology. As Newsline takes this next step forward in its ongoing evolution, it will continue to keep the DePaul community connected by delivering meaningful news in a timely manner.
