Designing DePaul Strategic Plans mark the next step in shaping the future of our university. Faculty, staff, and students are invited to review and provide feedback on the draft plans this fall quarter.
Why it matters
The strategic plans will drive DePaul forward to become a national leader in quality higher education.
In Fall 2023, the university launched Designing DePaul, which provided the framework for colleges, schools and administrative areas to develop their own strategic plans.
The Designing DePaul Strategic Plans feature chapters for each college and school, as well as major university-wide opportunities:
- Comprehensive campaign
- Eliminating the achievement gap
- Reenvisioning our Catholic, Vincentian mission
- Maximizing impact on Chicago, expanding globally
- Enhancing our digital presence
- Strengthening interdisciplinary programming
- Supporting liberal arts education
- Reimagining non-credit and executive education
- Enhancing DePaul’s brand presence
- Developing university income sharing model
- Dialogue Collaborative
- Establishing 5-Year university-wide financial model

Strategic planning roadmap
- The open comment period runs through Dec. 2024.
- Feedback will be incorporated in the winter quarter.
- Cost benefit analysis for opportunities in each strategic plan begins in the winter quarter.
- Final strategic plans and 5-year financial model to be published in Spring 2025.
