For more than a decade, the call to “Take Care DePaul" has been used to promote health, wellness, safety and respect. A refreshed version of this campaign launches this month, and you may notice posters and a new website that calls on our community to live out our Vincentian values, with a focus on belonging, inclusivity and respect.

The Take Care DePaul campaign represents a commitment from all members of the DePaul community to create a safe and inclusive campus. We encourage everyone to lead with kindness, respect, and empathy as we stand united against hate, ensuring that everyone feels valued and that we all belong at DePaul.

The QR codes on the poster lead to a website that offers ways to get involved on campus by attending events or participating in trainings. Some events include the 2025 Martin Luther King Jr. Prayer Breakfast and live screening of "Storming the Gates", the "Furthering a Flourishing DePaul: Evidence-Based Wellbeing Practices Today" mindfulness session, and the Chicago premiere of "Debate: Baldwin vs. Buckley". There are also resources to report any incidents of harassment or discrimination on campus.

In addition to dignity and respect, Take Care DePaul encompasses other topics including personal and community safety. Health Promotion and Wellness addresses alcohol and substance misuse through harm reduction and offers a bystander intervention training called the Vinny Vow. Both programs reflect the 'take care of yourself' and 'take care of each other' aspects of Take Care DePaul."

We invite you to reflect on how you can take care of yourself and others as a member of our diverse community. By leading with compassion and understanding, we strengthen our community and make DePaul a place where everyone can thrive.

How will you take care of yourself and others this quarter?
