Nicole Cunanan has been with DePaul University since 2021, starting off as a part-time worker in the DePaul Central Call Center, and now currently works as an Academic Advisor in CDM, advising primarily for undergraduate School of Computing students. She serves on the DAAN Steering Committee as the Loop Campus Representative, working with academic advisors on DAAN programming and meetings. She also graduated with an MFA in Screenwriting from DePaul in 2025. Outside of DePaul, she works with Filipino human rights and immigrant rights organizations.
Her goal as member of the Staff Council is to bridge gaps between different staff offices to create a stronger staff community at DePaul. Fostering this understanding would help build staff camaraderie and community, and allow Staff Council to better advocate for the needs of all staff at DePaul. She hopes to be a voice on Staff Council that advocates for staff needs, and hopes to help empower other staff to advocate for themselves.
