Dr. Orson Morrison, Psy.D. (he/him) is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and the Clinical Director for DePaul University’s Center for Counseling & Wellness (CCW) in the Division of Belonging, Engagement and Mission (BEAM) for the past 4 years. Prior to joining CCW, Dr. Morrison served as the Director of DePaul Family and Community Services, a university-based community mental health center housed in the College of Science and Health (CSH), for 10 years. He has worked in a variety of clinical settings including college counseling centers, community mental health centers, inpatient and outpatient medical settings, private practice, and in academic-clinical research units. Dr. Morrison has also taught graduate-level coursework in Psychology and offers trainings to the community on a variety of mental health topics. Dr. Morrison’s approach to clinical leadership and practice is under-pinned by a commitment to social justice, multiculturalism, inclusivity, and anti-racism. He has spent his career working towards improving access to quality mental health services for all. He brings these values to his work with clients, colleagues, and supervisees alike. Orson was born and raised in Toronto, Canada, the son of immigrants from South Africa and Guyana, and was a first‑generation college student. Orson and his wife Keri have two boys, one of whom is a sophomore in DePaul’s Driehaus College of Business, and the other is a junior in high school.
