Ordinary Landscapes by Steve Harp

September 15 – November 23, 2005

Ordinary Landscapes is an investigation of history in Pleasant Prairie, a small rural/suburban/small town/edge city in southern Wisconsin. In these images, Harp photographically documents the effects and evidence of history in the visual landscape of the community, exploring questions relating to home, rootedness and transience, connection, and disconnection to the place where one lives.
