This June, DePaul will return to in-person commencement ceremonies to celebrate the Class of 2022's many accomplishments at Wintrust Arena.

In addition to speeches from DePaul President A. Gabriel Esteban, Provost Salma Ghanem, deans and notable guests, each ceremony will feature a student speaker.

Earlier this year, the Office of Academic Events asked students to apply to serve as their commencement ceremony's speaker. Nearly 70 students responded to the call -- more than double the number of applicants in 2021. The six selected speakers are campus, community and academic leaders. In June, they will take the stage at Wintrust Arena to deliver their message of inspiration or encouragement to supporters including family and friends and DePaul community members.
