Congratulations to the Class of 2021, you have accomplished so much and are completing your degree in a year like no other!

COVID-19 remains a threat across the country. New, more contagious variants and a slow rollout of the vaccine mean it may be many months before the city of Chicago lifts its restrictions on large in-person gatherings. We know this is not the commencement the Class of 2021 and their loved ones hoped for, and DePaul understands your frustration. We are making the decision to host virtual ceremonies now to eliminate a level of uncertainty and to give our commencement planning team time to build on last year's events.

To celebrate the Class of 2021, DePaul is planning the following:
    • On-campus outdoor activities over 10 days in May
    • Online commencement celebrations on May 22 for the College of Law and on June 12 for all other colleges
    • A commencement kit, which will include memorabilia including a diploma cover, will be shipped to every graduate
    • Optional regalia is available for purchase
