Meet the student speakers for DePaul's 2024 commencement ceremonies

The College of Law honored its graduates on May 18 at The Chicago Theatre, while the other nine colleges will celebrate at Wintrust Arena during the weekend of June 15-16. Each ceremony will feature a student speaker who is a leader on campus in their community. These students will take the stage to deliver messages of inspiration or encouragement to supporters including family, friends, faculty and other DePaul community members. This year's student commencement speakers for the June ceremonies are: 

Nabeel Sohail, Jarvis College of Computing and Digital Media: During his time at DePaul, Sohail completed three cybersecurity internships in various sectors. He hopes to help individuals across the world use the internet safely no matter where they are. ​​Read more about his time at DePaul here.​

Linda Osei, College of Education: Osei is a first generation Ghanian American who devoted her time at DePaul to prepare for a career in advocacy and service for children facing mental health struggles. After graduation, she will serve this population as a clinical mental health counselor in Chicago. Read more about her time at DePaul here.  

Veronica Urcino, College of Science and Health: Urcino’s resilience in the face of adversity led her to DePaul University to study psychology with a focus on cognitive neuroscience. Her mission to create a more empathetic and supportive society made Urcino an advocate for the power of education. Read more about her time at DePaul here.  

Sarah Saber, Driehaus College of Business: The first in her family to receive a bachelor’s degree in the United States, Saber found a sense of purpose and belonging at DePaul, contributing to campus life by serving as Alpha Phi’s director of programming and events. 

Stefan Prangenberg, Kellstadt Graduate School of Business: Originally from Germany, Prangenberg will earn his doctorate in business administration. Prangenberg’s passion for supporting other students drove him to share his consulting skills and advise graduate students on combining theoretical knowledge with real-world application. Juliana Zanubi, College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences: Zanubi came to DePaul from Colombia to pursue a degree in international studies. During her time at DePaul, she has been involved in the Modern Languages department, active in Latinx organizations on campus and has mentored first year students.
