How to submit to Newsline Daily

All faculty, staff and students receive Newsline Daily in their email every weekday morning. From important announcements to upcoming events to where DePaul shows up in the news, Newsline Daily aims to keep members of the university informed about what’s happening on campus each day.

As a publication for the campus community, we welcome submissions to Newsline Daily. Simply follow the steps outlined below for each section of the daily digest:

Today’s Featured Events

Every issue of Newsline Daily features selected events that are happening on campus that day. Featured events must be open to the university community or the public.

In order for your event to be considered for this section of the Daily, it MUST be posted to Localist, also known as events.depaul.edu. Newsline Daily staff use events.depaul.edu as the primary source for selecting events to be featured in each issue. More information about posting to Localist is available in Newsline.

If your event is posted on events.depaul.edu and you would like to request it be included in Newsline Daily, please submit it here or email newsline@depaul.edu. All requests must be received AT LEAST 48 hours prior to publication.

Save the Date

Save the date notifications feature upcoming events, especially those that require registration or ticket purchases in advance. Newsline Daily will only promote upcoming events that are open to the university community or the public. To submit your upcoming event:

Save the dates must be submitted to Newsline Daily AT LEAST two weeks prior to the event.

Take Notes

Take Note shares announcements and reminders with the university community. Announcements must be received AT LEAST one week prior to your preferred publication date. Have an idea for a longer feature? Pitch it to us in the submissions form.

Life Events

Faculty and staff are invited to submit for consideration news of recent weddings, births and adoptions, as well as bereavement notices. More information is available in the Life Events submission form.

Scene at DePaul

Scene at DePaul items are photos or videos of what's happening around campus. This section also can be used to advertise upcoming events or share short recaps of events that recently took place on campus. Scene at DePaul submissions must include a video/image link or file, as well as a short description.
