Regalia
To participate in your commencement ceremony, a cap and gown are required. The Herff Jones ordering site will open early this year on October 15. Bachelor's degree regalia includes a cap, gown, tassel and red stole. Master's and doctoral degree regalia includes a cap, gown, tassel and hood.
Commencement Student Speaker
The submission form to apply to be the commencement student speaker for your ceremony will launch on Jan. 2. Until then, please consider applying. This is a great opportunity to speak on behalf of the Class of 2025 and to share what it means to be a Blue Demon.
What’s next?
As your graduation approaches, be on the lookout for more important information. The Office of University Events will share details about tickets, regalia ordering and the student speaker application via email to all eligible graduates and the commencement website.
*Participating in the commencement ceremony is optional and does not equate to degree completion. It is a student's responsibility to review their Degree Progress Report to ensure they are on track to complete the requirements and verify their completion term. Students may apply for degree conferral in Campus Connect; please be aware that submitting an online application does not guarantee a degree will be granted from DePaul University. Additionally, regardless of participation at commencement, students will not receive a diploma until all outstanding financial obligations have been fulfilled. Students should contact their Academic Advisors and DePaul Central with questions.
