The
DePaul Download podcast recently concluded its second season, publishing 15 episodes that highlighted faculty experts and new university initiatives. On each episode, University Marketing and Communications Vice President Linda Blakley sat down – virtually – with a DePaul faculty member or university leader to hear their takes on pressing issues and topics, including DePaul's
esports program,
creating anti-racist labs,
teaching during the pandemic and
Black love in romance novels.
Each episode is no more than 25 minutes, and can be found on the podcast's website or wherever audiences

2020 Presidential Election
Unique to this season, throughout the month of October, DePaul Download delved into the national conversation around the U.S. Presidential Election.
Ahead of the second Presidential Debate,
Carol Marin, award-winning Chicago journalist and director of DePaul University's Center for Journalism Integrity and Excellence, talked about her experiences as a moderator for the 2019 Chicago mayoral run-off debate and the 2018 Democratic gubernatorial debate. Marin also gave her top suggestions for aspiring debate moderators.
Furthermore, the podcast hosted Driehaus School of Business professor, former White House advisor and author
Bruce Newman to talk about political marketing. To help the community cope with election-related stress,
Jocelyn Carter, associate professor in DePaul's College of Science and Health and director of clinical training, provided a variety of insights, resources and tips.
Blue Demon Athletics
DePaul Athletics also had a busy year, welcoming a new athletic director and men's basketball head coach. To help Blue Demon fans get to know these two new leaders, the podcast featured
DeWayne Peevy and
Coach Stubbs to learn about their plans and something personal that people may not know about them.
