Policies
- If catering is involved, rentals must start 30 minutes before and end 30 minutes after the duration of the event.
- If access to the space is needed more than 15 minutes prior to the event, the rental must account for that time.
- A DPAM delegate or staff member must be present for the duration of the event.
- Room set up details must be provided at least a week prior to the event.
- Rentals are to be paid in full before the event is considered scheduled; the refund policy is as follows:
- Cancelled at least two weeks prior to planned event: full refund
- Cancelled at least one week prior to planned event: half refund
- Cancelled less than one week prior to planned event: no refund
Equipment and Space
DPAM’s event space is located on the second floor. The room features three large windows that
provide beautiful natural light which can be controlled by shades. Despite being located next to
the CTA, sound from the trains is minimal. The event space includes:
- 2 wireless microphones
- 1 podium
- 1 projector and screen
- 1 desktop computer hooked up to the projector
- 4 round highboy tables
- 12 6-foot rectangular folding tables
- 100 stackable chairs
The event space can accommodate 60 guests max, though capacity varies by setup:
- Classroom/Workshop: 25–30
- Panel Discussion: 60 max
- Performance: 30–50
- Reception: 25–60 depending upon setup
