BIG EAST Esports
DePaul University is a member of the BIG EAST Conference, and member institutions organize to compete, share academic resources related to Esports, advance collegiate esports, and more. Within the BIG EAST, DePaul competes in Rocket League and League of Legends.Throughout the year, students and administrators have the chance to come together to discuss and learn from one another on topics such as diversity & equity, assessment, marketing, and more.
I Play Games!
Since DePaul’s program launch in 2018,
I Play Games! has been a trusted partner for DePaul Esports. The CEO of I Play Games!, Kevin Fair, has been instrumental in the development of DePaul Esports- having assisted in program development, events, tournament production, and more. Highlights of I Play Games! and DePaul’s partnership include the
Gaming Zone at C2E2, production of the
State Street Showdown, pop up gaming lounges, educational workshops, and more.
Dell Technologies
Since 2019, DePaul Esports has partnered with Dell Technologies for a number of educational programs and conversations to advance collegiate Esports. Members of the Esports team have been featured speakers for Girls Who Game, the NYPD Foundation’s Options Program, on Dell Technologies webinars, and more. DePaul, Dell Technologies, and I Play Games! also partnered with
My Block My Hood My City for an Explorers Program hybrid event in March 2021.
Gamers.Vote
Gamers.Vote’s mission is to empower gamers to rally the 160+ million potential voters to register, vote and participate in the democratic process at the federal state and local levels. A nonpartisan, non-profit organization that encourages and supports the act of participation, Gamers.Vote leads a coalition of organizations and individuals who have joined to gather to make participation in democracy a priority. DePaul began it’s partnership with Gamers.Vote in 2020 and commits to continuing it’s partnership in elections to come.
The *gameHERs
The*gameHERs is a women-led community dedicated to amplifying and centering the voices of women, femme-identifying gamers and non-binary gamers who are comfortable in spaces that center women. Their mission is to advance the role, voice, image, and power of all the*gameHERs in the gaming world. DePaul Esports began their partnership with the *gameHERs in 2021 with the first collegiate chapter for the organization.
