On Thursday, June 13, the
DePaul Art Museum will host a reception to mark the opening of the 2019
Senior Studio Seminar Exhibition. All members of the university community are welcome to attend the reception. The exhibition will be open during museum hours through commencement weekend, until Sunday, June 16.
The professionally mounted exhibition will showcase the thesis projects of 15 graduating seniors from the B.A in Art, Media, and Design and the Bachelors in Fine Arts degrees of the Department of Art, Media, and Design. Intended as the conclusion of the students’ four years of undergraduate studies in a department focused on the integration of the liberal arts with their education as artists, the exhibition includes paintings, photographs, sculpture installations, prints and a video, representing themes related to identity, environmental concerns, travel, women issues and the politics of immigration.
