On Wednesday, May 23, the Department of Writing, Rhetoric and Discourse will host its annual Writing Showcase, featuring a range of writing, research and multimedia work composed by undergraduate students. All members of the DePaul community are invited to attend.

Each academic year, students from all first-year writing courses are invited to submit their work to the Writing Showcase, where a panel of university judges choose outstanding entries for display. This year's event will consist of an awards ceremony, during which select authors will receive gifts funded by DePaul, as well as a presentation by Julia Bachrach, a Chicago-based writer, historian and urban planner.
