Campus Conversations: Academic Perspectives on the Presidential Election

​​​On Tuesday, Oct. 20, the Office of the Provost will host "Campus Conversations: Academic Perspectives on the Upcoming Presidential Election." The virtual event will take place from 3 – 4:30 p.m. and is open to all faculty, staff and students. RSVP online by Monday, Oct. 19 at 5 pm.

​“With election day three weeks away, I thought it would be of value to hold a panel discussion focusing on our faculty's research and expertise in this area," says Salma Ghanem, interim provost.

The event will feature a panel of DePaul faculty members. Scott Hibbard, an associate professor and chair of the Department of Political Science, will moderate the program. Panelists include:

  • Jocelyn Carter, an associate professor in the Department of Psychology
  • David Franklin, associate professor in the College of Law
  • Valerie Johnson, an associate professor in the Department of Political Science
  • Bruce Newman, a professor and Wicklander Fellow in Business Ethics in the Department of Marketing and editor-in-chief of the Journal of Political Marketing
  • Wayne Steger, a professor in the Department of Political Science
  • Barbara Willard, an associate professor in Communication Studies
