On Thursday, May 3, DePaul University's Coleman Entrepreneurship Center will host the second annual Purpose Pitch Competition at 1871 to explore the ideas of purpose driven startups in Chicago. The event is free and open to all members of the university community.

The Purpose Pitch is a unique pitch session where startups pitch their greater purpose and how they plan to fulfill that purpose through their business objective, instead of pitching investors on the business itself. Judges will validate the positioning of the final four companies and their purpose by evaluating the presentation. The final four companies will be recognized as "Most Purposeful Startups in Chicago" in addition to sharing the $25,000 in award money with their companies.
