On March 9, it was reported that a patient with a confirmed case of COVID-19 had been working on the TV show “Next" at Cinespace Chicago Film Studios. Out of an abundance of caution, DePaul canceled classes at Cinespace Chicago Film Studios on Tuesday, March 10 and Wednesday, March 11. DePaul's facilities at Cinespace are not near the stage where the “Next" television show had been filming. Students who use DePaul's facilities do not share public spaces, such as restrooms, with other sound stages.

In the interest of taking preventive measures, Cinespace, including DePaul's facilities, are undergoing a deep cleaning. Faculty members will be in touch with students to let them know of any changes in class schedules and locations.

As we learn more information and further assess the situation, we will share any decisions as soon as possible.
