This fall, the School of Music’s Kurt Westerberg will be part of the Bach & Beethoven Experience’s
Chicago Stories: Book Two series. Performances are set for Sept. 29, Oct. 6, and Oct. 7 across the city.
Each year, the
Bach & Beethoven Experience commissions three composers in Chicago to create new music based on the stories of the city’s neighborhoods. Westerberg’s music highlights the Swedish immigrant community of Andersonville. In addition to performances, there also will be spoken text, story-telling and guided audience shares, allowing attendees to learn more about their fellow Chicago citizens.
