Christmas at DePaul returns to St. Vincent de Paul Church this year for its 15th annual program. Three performances are scheduled for Dec. 9 and 10. As in years past, tickets for this year's performances will again be distributed via a lottery.
Selections of familiar and classic Christmas music will be performed by the DePaul Community Chorus and an orchestra of students from the School of Music, providing a joyful score to this retelling of our Lord's birth. The spectacular staging for the event is done by members of The Theatre School.
Performances are rescheduled for:
Thursday, Dec. 9 7 p.m.
Friday, Dec. 10 7 p.m.
Friday, Dec. 10 9 p.m.
Community members are welcome to register for the ticket lottery until Nov. 15. Please only enter the lottery once. Those selected through the lottery will be notified on Nov. 18.
Between the 7 and 9 p.m. performances on Dec. 10, the university will host a Christmas party in the Lincoln Park Student Center for the DePaul faculty, staff, students, trustees and their families. Santa Claus will share treats with the children and pose for photos.
Unlike most Christmas productions in the city, there is no admission charge. However, the university requests attendees make a free-will donation to the St. Vincent de Paul Parish-sponsored charities ministering to those most in need.

This event will follow all COVID-19 protocols. All attendees, regardless of vaccination status, must wear a facemask indoors. Learn more about DePaul's COVID health and safety practices and guidelines online.
Proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test
Lottery winners must either be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test dated no earlier than 72 hours prior to the event date.
Please be prepared to show proof of vaccination and an ID with a name that matches the name on the vaccination card at check-in. A physical vaccination card or a picture of your card will be acceptable.
If a lottery winner elects to present negative test results, the results also must be accompanied by a picture ID at check-in.
Testing locations are listed on the Chicago Department of Public Health website. This event is subject to change if the City of Chicago restricts in-person gatherings due to an increase in COVID-19 cases.
