This April, The Theatre School will launch the Community Drama Division. The division aims to bring theatre and wellness practices to the young people of the DePaul community and greater Chicago area.

During these times of social distancing and separation due to COVID-19, the CDD has developed online classes for children ages four to 14. From “Shake, Rattle and Roll" to “Puppet Masters," spring classes are set to begin Monday, April 6. To participate, students will need access to a computer or tablet, an internet connection, and an open and creative mind.

Creators hope the online pilot programming will keep young people engaged, connected and creative in their own homes. As part of its mission, CDD will incorporate practices of mindfulness and breathing into every class session alongside high-quality theatre skills instruction and training.
