This weekend, the DePaul Experimental Film Summer Showcase will be part of the fifth annual Chicago Onscreen Local Film Showcase. DePaul’s curation will be featured on both Thursday, Aug. 30, at 9 p.m. and Friday, Aug. 31, at 7:30 p.m. at Ping Memorial Park. The event is free and open to the public.
Sponsored by Chicago Movies in the Park, the showcase will feature 26 outdoor screenings in nine parks across Chicago. DePaul Experimental Film’s 80 minute showcase features experimental films created by DePaul students. A fireside Q&A with the filmmakers will follow Friday night’s screening.
