Last month, the Animation Career Review ranked DePaul's program 14th in its 2018 list of "Top 50 Animation Schools and Colleges in the U.S." Last year, DePaul ranked 24th on the same list. The publication also named DePaul 10th in its "Top 25 Animation Schools and Colleges with Master of Fine Arts Programs" list and 2nd in its "Top 10 Animation Schools and Colleges with Master's Programs" list.

Housed in the College of Computing and Digital Media, DePaul's program offers animation degrees with concentrations in game art, hand-drawn, stop motion and 3D animation, storyboarding and character design, and technical art. Students gain valuable production experience both inside and outside the classroom, benefitting from CDM's relationship with Chicago's largest game development and animation studios. Past participants have interned at Warner Brothers, DreamWorks Animation, Sony Studios, Disney, Nickelodeon and more.

Each year, the Animation Career Review ranks institutions based on a survey that evaluates their academic reputation, admission selectivity, program offerings, financial support and proximity to industry hubs.
